The field hockey team hosted the Lynchburg College Hornets (7-2) in wet and rainy conditions at Thayer Field. The Hornets take the win, 13-1.

The lone goal for the Vixens was made by senior Lindsay Eneguess (Peterborough, N.H.) off a short corner, with an assist from junior Alex St. Pierre (So. Hamilton, Maine).

Goalkeeper Maddie Wilson ('12/Orange, Va.) came in toward the end of the first half and finished the game with a total of 24 saves to help the Vixens on the defensive side.

The Vixens (2-7) will travel to Lexington, Va. to play under the lights at Washington & Lee on Friday for a 7 pm game.
