The Sweet Briar Field Hockey team dropped a 10-0 decision to Wittenberg University this afternoon at Thayer Field.  The visiting Tigers jumped out to a six goal advantage in the 1^st half and added four more goals in the second half.

Goalkeeper Emma Rakosky ('12/Ellicott City, Md.) turned away 16 shots on the day and defenseman Elizabeth Houser ('13/Richmond, Va.) pitched in with two defensive saves.

Sweet Briar is off until September 11^th, when they travel to Bridgewater College to take on Limestone University at 11am as part of the MAPP Invitational Tournament.
