SBC Soccer Travels to 13th Ranked Lynchburg College

Box Score

LYNCHBURG, Va. --- On Tuesday evening, Sweet Briar College crossed the James River for a match up with neighboring Lynchburg College.  The host Hornets currently enjoy a 13th place national ranking while sitting atop the Old Dominion Athletic Conference women's soccer standings.

LC jumped out of the gate early and never looked back en route to a 11-0 win over the Vixens.  The Hornets were led by Jade Woll (Woodbridge, Va./Woodbridge) and Morgan Singer (Yorktown, Va./Grafton) who each tallied two goals.  With the win, Lynchburg maintains its top spot in league and remains perfect in conference play (10-0).

SBC's Katie Tillson (Mechanicsville, Va./Atlee) made 16 stops on the night.  Three keepers, Karsen Schottleutner (McKinney, TX / Ursuline Academy), Tess Frelick (New Hope, PA / New Hope-Solebury) and Brook Thompson ( Havre de Grace, MD / The Tome School) shared time in goal for Lynchburg.

The Vixens return home to host Shenandoah University on Saturday, October 26.  Prior to Saturday's 3 p.m. match the Vixen athletics department will celebrate senior day as part of Homecoming and Families Weekend.
