AMHERST, Va.- The depth of the visiting Roanoke College Maroons proved too much for the Sweet Briar College Vixens, as the visitors came out on top, 9-0.

Arielle Allam opened the scoring off a pass from Katerina DeSimone just a minute and a half into the game. It was the first of three goals in the opening ten minutes as the Maroons played 21 different girls through the contest to keep fresh legs on the field.

Senior Katie Torretti made 11 saves in goal for the Vixens and classmate Kiley Jolicoeur registered a defensive save.

The Vixens will return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 14 when they travel to Notre Dame (Md.). Sweet Briar will be looking to avenge a 5-4 overtime loss to the Gators from earlier this season.
