Full Notes Release

The Sweet Briar field hockey team will return to action Monday night when they travel to Harrisonburg to face off against the Eastern Mennonite University Royals. The matchup scheduled to start at 7 p.m.

Last Time Out: The Vixens traveled to Pennsylvania for the Wilson College Invitational. Sweet Briar opened play last Saturday with a tough loss to the host Phoenix. They followed that up with a very close and hard fought overtime loss to Keuka College.

Moving Up The Ranks: Katie Torretti is having a great season in goal for the Vixens. She's averaging 11 saves per game, which ranks her in the top 25 nationally. It also ranks her third amongst ODAC opponents.

Stat Correction: An error was made during Sweet Briar's first game, misattributing a goal that should have been awarded to Megan Johnston. She now has one goal and one assist on the season, to lead the Vixen's offensively.

Scouting the Royals: Eastern Mennonite is led offensively by sophomore forward Megan Bishop, who has two goals and four shots on goal. Junior Hannah Daley has started all five games in goal for the Royals. She ranks second in the ODAC and 18th in the nation with a saves per game average of 12.40.
