SWEET BRIAR, Va. – The Sweet Briar IHSA team will welcome seven programs to the Harriet Howell Rogers Riding Center this Sunday, Oct. 3, for its only home show of the season.
 
Joining the Vixens will be Christopher Newport, Liberty, Mary Washington, Randolph-Macon, Richmond, Virginia Commonwealth and William & Mary.
 
At last week's show hosted by William & Mary, Sweet Briar saw widespread success with 11 members of the team earning top-5 finishes.
 
Highlights

• Senior Madeline Rucker (Midlothian, Va.) punched her ticket to regionals with a first place finish in the introductory class.
• Sophomore Sarah Southard (Culpeper, Va.) also finished first in the novice class at her first IHSA show.
• Five Vixen riders earned top-5 finishes in their first collegiate showing.

Sweet Briar will head to the Liberty University Equestrian Center in Rustburg, Va. on Oct. 9.
