SWEET BRIAR, Va. – Sweet Briar field hockey (13-7, 4-3 CSAC), the No. 4 seed in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) field hockey playoffs, will face the No. 1 seed Wilson Phoenix (16-0, 7-0 CSAC) in the semifinals on Wednesday, Nov. 3 at 3:30 p.m.
The playoff match, taking place in Chambersburg, Pa., will see the winner move on to the finals to face the winner of the No. 2 Keystone/No. 3 Cedar Crest match on Saturday, Nov. 6.
The Vixens closed out the regular season this past week on a high note, taking down Southern Virginia 6-0 and CSAC opponent Bryn Athyn 8-0 on Oct. 31.
Sweet Briar also took Hood to a penalty shootout on Saturday after a stellar defensive effort left the two overtimes scoreless.

Avery Jones (Union, Conn.) notched two goals in the victory over the Lions.
