OBERLIN, Ohio – Sweet Briar field hockey (3-1, 1-1 CSAC) took down the Oberlin Yeowomen (0-3, 0-0 NCAC) 1-0, for its second-straight road win of the season.
The defense was extremely strong for Sweet Briar, only allowing Oberlin to take two shots in the first half of the game.

Lara Jost (Würzburg, Germany) scored the game-winning goal for the Vixens in the third quarter, assisted by sophomore
Brynna Hughes (Richmond, Va.) off a corner.
Highlights
- Senior goalkeeper Janie Bolling (Hereford, Md.) recorded her second-straight shutout and third one of the season.
- With her assist, Hughes now has 14 total points through four games, double the amount of the next closest player on the roster.

The Vixens will return home to face off against CSAC opponent Notre Dame (Md.) at Amherst County High School on Saturday, Sept. 18 at 2 p.m.
