SWEET BRIAR, Va. – Sweet Briar field hockey (4-7, 0-2 CSAC) is set for three games this week against Southern Virginia (1-8), Lancaster Bible (3-9, 1-1 CSAC) and Bryn Athyn (0-9, 0-3 CSAC).
The Vixens’ first contest of the week against the Knights will take place in Buena Vista, Va. on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m.
Sweet Briar will then play host to conference opponents Lancaster Bible on Saturday, Oct. 22 at noon for senior day and Bryn Athyn on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 1 p.m.
The team is coming off a 5-2 loss to Wilson in the inaugural game played on the new state-of-the-art water turf field. Goals in that match came from junior Avery Jones (Union, Conn.) and sophomore Jolin Daughety (Williamsburg, Va.).
