SWEET BRIAR, Va. – Sweet Briar lacrosse (1-2, 0-0 CSAC) fell to the Bethany Bison (4-1, 0-0 PAC) this afternoon at Thayer Field by a score of 15-2.
The Bison got off to a quick start, scoring 12 of their goals in the first half. In the second half of the game, the Vixens began to gain momentum with both of their goals coming in the third quarter.
Junior
Kaylah Bailey (Virginia Beach, Va.) got the Vixens on the board less than four minutes into the start of play in the third off a pass from sophomore
Sarah Southard (Culpeper, Va.). Senior
Sarah Schindler (Charlotte, N.C.) followed that goal up with her fourth of the season only a few minutes later.
Defensively, sophomore
Brynna Hughes (Richmond, Va.) and first-year
Trista Cleaves (Millville, N.J.) collected two ground balls. Sophomore
Jamison Tarver (Kingwood, Texas) led Sweet Briar with five caused turnovers in the game.
