LA PLUME, Pa. – Sweet Briar field hockey (2-5, 0-1 CSAC) was bested by Keystone (4-4, 1-0 CSAC) today, falling in overtime by a score of 2-1.
The Giants got on the scoreboard first, breaking through the Vixens' defense seven minutes into play in the second quarter.

Jolin Daughety (Williamsburg, Va.) tied the game up at one off a pass from junior
Brynna Hughes (Richmond, Va.) with less than 10 minutes left to play in the third.
After a scoreless fourth quarter the game headed into OT, however, Keystone would come away with the victory after finding the back of the goal less than a minute in.
Highlights
- Sophomore goalkeeper Ashley Maggiora (Hollister, Calif.) recorded eight saves.
- Junior Avery Jones (Union, Conn.) led the team in shots with four, followed by Daughety and first-year Ashley Prevet (Nesconset, N.Y.) with two.

Sweet Briar will play host to both Roanoke and Bryn Athyn next week with matches on Tuesday, Sept. 27 and Saturday, Oct. 1, respectively.
