LEXINGTON, Va. – Sweet Briar field hockey (1-2, 0-0 CSAC) fell to the No. 10-ranked Washington and Lee Generals (1-1, 0-0 ODAC) today by a score of 5-0.
The Generals got off to a quick 2-0 lead with one goal coming 46 seconds into the match followed by a converted penalty corner opportunity three minutes later.
After Washington and Lee's 3-0 goal at the 18:39 mark of the game, Sweet Briar's defense held strong, not allowing another goal until around five minutes remaining in the third.
The Generals capped off their victory with a 5-0 goal as time expired.

Ingrid Kalwitz Blanco (Antofagasta, Chile) earned a defensive save.
