ASHLAND, Va. – The Sweet Briar College field hockey team (6-9, 2-5) fell to the Randolph-Macon College Yellow Jackets (9-6, 4-3) on the road tonight by a score of 7-0.
The Yellow Jackets got on the board first at the 6:25 mark before tallying a second goal less than a minute later.
Two more goals in the second quarter of play would put the home team up 4-0 heading into halftime.
Randolph-Macon saw another two-goal quarter in the third before a final tally with time winding down in the fourth brought the game to its eventual 7-0 close.

- Junior goalkeeper Ashley Maggiora (Hollister, Calif.) recorded seven saves over 60 minutes of play.
- Sweet Briar held Randolph-Macon to its second-lowest goal total since 2019.
What's Next
The Vixens will wrap up the 2023 season next week with games against Lynchburg and Shenandoah on Oct. 25 and 28, respectively.
