TOANO, Va. – The Sweet Briar College IHSA team was named High Point Team today at William & Mary. Additionally, junior Emily Roberts (Goochland, Va.) became the third Vixen to qualify for Regionals while senior Katelyn Jones (Richmond, Texas) and sophomore Audrey Flattich (Statesboro, Ga.) were named High Point Rider and Reserve High Point Rider, respectively.
 
Roberts earned her first trip to Region 4 Finals after placing first in the Novice Flat class.
 
Jones finished first in Limit Fences and second in Limit Flat while Flattich won her Limit Fences class and came second in Intermediate Flat.
 
Sophomore Leah Partington (Richmond, Va.) had an outstanding IHSA debut; placing first in her Novice class.
 
Also earning a first-place finish was senior Sarah Southard (Culpeper, Va.) in Limit Flat.
 
A pair of third-place finishes were earned by sophomore Ainsley John Darling (Virginia Beach, Va.) and junior Julianna McIntyre (Englewood, Fla.) in Introductory Flat and Novice, respectively.
 
Junior Marran Vansickle (Powhatan, Va.) was fourth in Intermediate Fences and sophomore Lauren Satola (Fulton, Md.) also placed fourth in Open Flat.
 
Rounding out top-five finishes for Sweet Briar were sophomore Rachel Chard (Avon, Conn.) in Intermediate Flat and sophomore Sarah Pastula (Rockford, Mich.) in Limit Flat.
 
Highlights

• Roberts will join Flattich and Satola at Regionals.
• Today marks the second-straight show where a Vixen has placed in the top-three during their IHSA debut.

 
What's Next
Sweet Briar will head to back-to-back shows at Randolph-Macon and Christopher Newport on Nov. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
