SWEET BRIAR, Va. – The Sweet Briar College field hockey team (2-4, 0-0 ODAC) fell to the Kenyon College Owls (4-3, 0-1 NCAC) 2-1, today at Thayer Field in overtime.
After a scoreless first quarter of play, the Owls got on the board with a goal from Grace Lane off a penalty corner play.
Junior goalkeeper
Ashley Maggiora (Hollister, Calif.) would record three saves in the third to keep Kenyon's lead to only one.
First-year
Gigi Hutman (Bordentown, N.J.) would tally the first of her career off a pass from junior

Five minutes of play in the overtime period would be enough for the visiting team to find the back of the net and take home the win.

- Sophomore Jenna Prevet (Nesconset, N.Y.) earned the first defensive save for Sweet Briar this season when she stopped a shot with time expiring in the third.
