SWEET BRIAR, Va. – The Sweet Briar College field hockey team (3-4, 0-0 ODAC) toppled the Lancaster Bible College Chargers (1-5, 0-0 United East) today at Thayer Field by a score of 3-1.
The Vixens got on the board first thanks to junior
Jolin Daughety's (Williamsburg, Va.) first of the game off a pass from senior
Brynna Hughes (Richmond, Va.).
Hughes would collect another assist in the second quarter when sophomore
Ashley Prevet (Nesconset, N.Y.) put Sweet Briar up 2-0.
Daughety's second of the game, early into third-quarter play, would increase the Vixens' lead to three.
Scoring would close out with the Chargers converting on a penalty stroke to bring the game to its eventual 3-1 close.

- Junior Lara Jost (Würzburg, Germany) earned the assist on Daughety's third-quarter goal.
- Sophomore Jenna Prevet (Nesconset, N.Y.) tallied her third defensive save of the year.
- Sweet Briar now leads the all-time series against Lancaster Bible, 6-1.
