SWEET BRIAR, Va. – The Sweet Briar College lacrosse team (2-5) was bested by the Division II Emory & Henry College Wasps (1-9, 0-4 SAC) tonight by a score of 15-1 at Meyer Field.
The Wasps opened up the scoring at the 10:07 mark for the only goal of the first quarter before going on to score seven straight to take an 8-0 lead into halftime.
The Vixens finally got on the board after four straight tallies to open up the third quarter of play for the visitors. Junior
Valen Foster (Bushwood, Md.) found the back of the net for her 12th of the season off an assist from senior
Jamison Tarver (Kingwood, Texas) on her free position attempt to bring the score to 11-1.
However, Emory & Henry would find the back of the net four more times before the end of the game to take the 15-1 victory.
Tarver led the team with six ground balls while she, Foster and sophomore
Ashley Prevet (Nesconset, N.Y.) all registered two caused turnovers.

Trista Cleaves (Millville, N.J.) had two draw controls.
In goal, senior
Kat Navarro (Carlsbad, Calif.) recorded eight saves.
Highlights
- Tarver's assist on Foster's goal marks her first point of the 2024 season.
- Foster has now scored at least one goal in her last four games.
