GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Sweet Briar College swim team (2-9, 1-8 ODAC) wrapped up day four of the 2025 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championship in 10th today at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
Senior
Mary Catherine Warner (Virginia Beach, Va.) began preliminary action for the Vixens with a 32nd-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 59.33.
In the 200-yard breaststroke, senior
Jillian Lewis (Ellicott City, Md.) placed 16th in both the preliminary race and the consolation final to mark the highest final finish by any Sweet Briar swimmer at this year's championship. Lewis eclipsed her previous personal-best time set at 2023's championship in both races with a time of 2:36.98 in the prelims and 2:39.09 in the final.
Sophomore
Ella Scherrer (Simpsonville, S.C.) also set a new record for herself in the event with a time of 3:03.65.
First-year
Geneva Seitz (Havre de Grace, Md.) placed 12th in the 1650-yard freestyle preliminary race with a time of 22:28.63 which would end up placing her 20th when the event finals concluded this evening.
Among the evening action was the 400-yard freestyle relay which saw Sweet Briar place seventh, its highest finish in a relay event over the past few days, with a time of 4:07.22.
First-year
Carlee Minyard (Jacksonville, Fla.) would go on to record a time of 3:22.00 in her 200-yard freestyle time trial.
Highlights
- Minyard also saw action in the 100-yard freestyle and recorded a personal-best time of 1:29.63.
- Seitz's time in the 1650-yard freestyle marks a new career best for the Maryland native.
