SALEM, Va. – The Sweet Briar College indoor track & field team concluded day one of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships with two events contested.
The meet was kicked off by first-year
Electra McPherson (Madison Heights, Va.) and senior
Julianna McIntyre (Englewood, Fla.) who competed in the 60-meter dash preliminaries.
McPherson placed 21st with a time of 8.49 while McIntyre's time of 8.65 put her in 23rd.
Sweet Briar also saw action in the distance medley relay (DMR) and placed ninth in the event with a time of 15:14.17.
Highlights
- McPherson set a new personal and program best in the 60-meter dash while McIntyre also improved upon her personal best time in the event.
- The Vixens also cut down on the program's best DMR mark by over 10 seconds.
