Lacrosse Blanked by Bridgewater

BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Sweet Briar College lacrosse team (0-4, 0-1 ODAC) was blanked by the Bridgewater College Eagles (6-2, 2-0 ODAC) this evening, falling by a score of 24-0 in the first game of Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) action.
 
The Eagles started the scoring off early with two goals coming within the first minute of action. The home team tacked on nine more in the first quarter and six in the second to take a 17-0 lead into halftime.
 
The third quarter saw Bridgewater add four to its total while three more goals in the fourth brought the game to its eventual 24-0 close.
 
In goal, first-year Geneva Seitz (Havre de Grace, Md.) totaled eight saves.
 
Highlights
  • Seitz led the team in ground balls with five.
  • Junior Victoria Schofield (Towson, Md.) led the Vixens in draw controls while first-years Kayla Nuhl (Hayward, Calif.) and Elise Palazzo (Allentown, Pa.) headed up the caused turnovers stat category.
