LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Sweet Briar College tennis team (14-5, 8-1 ODAC) fought past the Randolph College WildCats (9-7, 6-3 ODAC) today winning the match 4-3.
The Vixens earned the doubles points with victories in their No. 2 and No. 3 matches.
The duo of Bovard/Caracciolo took down Bauer/Gaalman, 7-6 (7-1), at No. 2 while Cope/Minton earned a 6-2 win against Cabrera/Dickerson at No. 3.
In singles play, wins were earned by sophomore
Maggie Minton (Wytheville, Va.), junior
Lucia Bovard (Mount Pleasant, N.C.) and first-year
Ari Cope (Richmond, Va.) at the bottom of the lineup.
Minton won her No. 4 flight match against Emma Bauer in three sets by scores of 6-2, 3-6, 6-3.
At No. 5 singles, Bovard easily took down Maddie Mills, 6-0, 6-1 and Cope saw a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Sabrina Dickerson in the No. 6 spot.

- Cope has not lost a two-set match yet in the dual season.
