BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Sweet Briar College volleyball team (0-15, 0-5 ODAC) fell to the Bridgewater College Eagles (15-1, 6-0 ODAC) this evening on the road, falling in three sets by scores of 25-7, 25-11, and 25-11.
In the first set, Sweet Briar was able to record three kills, two from first-year
Nadia Bingham (Chesapeake, Va.) and one from sophomore
Rachael Hunt (Willow Spring, N.C.). However, Bridgewater showcased a strong offensive performance and took the first set 25-7.
Sweet Briar delivered its best offensive performance in the second set, registering five kills. First-year
Addison Garner (Elizabeth City, N.C.) recorded three kills, while fellow first-years
Kylee Cox (Paris, Ill.) and Bingham recorded one each. The teams combined for three ties and the match's lone lead change during the frame, but the Eagles eventually pulled away to take the second set 25-11.
The Vixens finished with three kills in the third set. First-years
Kayla Rogucki (Fredericksburg, Va.),
Tali Saunders (Elizabeth City, N.C.), and Hunt all recorded a kill for the Vixens. Bridgewater responded with another strong offensive showing before closing out the match with another 25-11 victory.

What's Next
The Vixens will travel to Lexington, Va., on Oct. 10th to compete in a tri-match against Washington and Lee University and the University of Mary Washington.
