Sadie Swift (Leonardtown, Md.) of the No. 3 Single Discipline NCEA team has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Fences Co-Rookie of the Year, the organization announced today, March 18th.
Swift went 7-2 in fences competition this season and earned a high score of 85 against Berry on March 6th, while also earning her first Most Outstanding Performer (MOP) honors at the meet.
The Maryland native earned wins in the discipline against nationally-ranked Bridgewater and Lynchburg as well. Swift also earned her first ODAC weekly honor on March 11th, following the meet against Berry, when she was named the conference's Rider of the Week for fences.
The No. 2-seed Vixens will see action at the ODAC Single Discipline Equestrian Championship on Friday against No. 3-seed Bridgewater in the semifinals. The Championship meet is set for Saturday, March 21st.
