HARRISONBURG, Va. – The Sweet Briar College outdoor track & field team wrapped up action at the 2026 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships with day two of events today at EMU.
Sweet Briar turned in a well-rounded showing across sprints, distance, field events and relays this weekend, with several athletes delivering personal bests and strong finishes.
In the middle distances, first-year
Elaina Sherline (Morehead City, N.C.) delivered one of the top performances of the meet for Sweet Briar, placing seventh in the 800 meters with a personal-best 2:21.54 to score points for the team.
Junior
Mia Viccora (Fairfax, Va.) doubled in the distance events, running 2:44.94 in the 800 and finishing the 1500 meters in 5:46.16.
First-year
Elena Fomin (Middlesex County, Va.) added another strong performance with a sixth-place finish in the pole vault, clearing a personal-best 2.31 meters to contribute valuable points.
The Vixens closed out the meet with a season-best performance in the 4x400-meter relay, as the quartet of first-year
Tyasia Spencer (Fredericksburg, Va.), first-year
Azshalay Utley (Columbus, Ohio), Viccora and Sherline combined to run 4:22.78 and secure a seventh-place finish while adding points to the team total.
Highlights
- Both Fomin and Sherline recorded new program records in the pole vault and 800m, respectively.
- The 4x400 relay team bested the previous program record by 12 seconds.

The Vixens will compete at the Hill City Twilight, hosted by Lynchburg, on May 2nd.
