GREENWOOD, Ind. – Sweet Briar College has landed three student-athletes on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District At-Large Team, the organization announced today, June 16th.
Named to the team were juniors
Gigi Hutman (Bordentown, N.J.),
Kailei Minter (Martinsville, Va.) and
Kendel Wickline (Frederick, Md.).
Hutman, a member of the field hockey team, scored game-winning goals against both Lancaster Bible and EMU this season.
Minter and Wickline are both members of the golf team and contributed to the Vixens' 349-363 head-to-head victory over Meredith this season. Minter won the overall matchup after shooting a career-low round of 78, while Wickline also had the best showing of her career with a score of 92.
To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 90 percent of the institution's games played or started in 66 percent of the institution's games (field hockey), or be in the lineup for 75 percent of an institution's team scoring events or in the lineup at the conference championship tournament.
This marks the first CSC for honors for Hutman, Minter and Wickline.
