ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The Sweet Briar volleyball team (0-8, 0-1 ODAC) dropped its match to the Warren Wilson College Owls (1-5 0-0 CAC) tonight in four sets. The Vixens claimed the opening set 27–25, but Warren Wilson responded with 25–23, 25–13 and 25–11 wins in the final three sets.
Sweet Briar established momentum early in a tightly contested opening set that featured 14 ties and four lead changes. The Vixens generated 10 kills in the frame and held on in extra points for the 27–25 win. First-year
Kylee Cox (Paris, Ill.) led Sweet Briar's attack in the set with five kills.
The second set remained close, with 12 ties and three lead changes, but the Owls claimed the set 25-23.
In the third set the Vixens continued to battle. First-year
Nadia Bingham (Chesapeake, Va.), sophomore
Rachael Hunt (Willow Spring, N.C.), sophomore
Yeriam Alyah Dávila Gerena (Rîo Grande, Puerto Rio), and Cox all registered one kill throughout the set. The Owls eventually took control at the end of the set and captured the 25-13 win.
During the fourth set Sweet Briar continued to compete, producing three ties and three lead changes, but Warren Wilson closed the match with a 25–11 set victory.

- First-year Allie de Moet (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) registered four service aces.
