WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Sweet Briar College volleyball team (0-2, 0-0 ODAC) opened up their 2026 season against Franklin College (1-1, 0-0 HCAC) and Wilmington College (3-0, 0-0 OAC) at the Quaker Classic.
The Vixens fell to the Grizzlies, 3-0, with set scores of 25-5, 25-7, and 25-6 and to the Quakers, with set scores of 25-5, 25-12, and 25-15.
vs. Franklin College
Franklin established control early in the opening set, using efficient offense and a strong service game to claim a 25-5 decision. Sweet Briar recorded two kills in the frame, with sophomore
Rachael Hunt (Willow Spring, N.C.) and first-year
Nadia Bingham (Chesapeake, Va.) accounting for one each.
Sweet Briar produced its most balanced offensive stretch in the second set, finishing with another two kills. Franklin again applied pressure from the service line and carried a 25-7 win into the intermission.
In the third set, Sweet Briar recorded one kill but faced Franklin's most decisive serving run of the night as the hosts closed the match with a 25-6 set victory.
vs. Wilmington College
Wilmington opened the match with a dominant first set, taking a 25-5 decision. The Vixens recorded two kills in the frame, with Bingham and first-year
Kylee Cox (Paris, Ill.) each putting away an attack.
Sweet Briar showed improvement in the second set, staying involved through several competitive stretches before Wilmington claimed a 25-12 win. The Vixens again produced two kills and sophomore
Jaelyn Wood (Charlottesville, Va.), supplied two service aces in the set, helping Sweet Briar create pressure from the service line.
The Vixens delivered their strongest offensive showing in the third set. Sweet Briar totaled two kills and scored a total of 15 points, its highest total of the night, before Wilmington completed the sweep with a 25-15 victory.

- First-year Kayla Rogucki (Fredericksburg, Va.), first-year Allie de Moet (Murfreesboro, Tenn.), first-year Amanda Mason (Sunrise, Fla.), first-year Tali Saunders (Elizabeth City, N.C.), first-year Addison Garner (Elizabeth City, N.C.), Cox, Wood, and Bingham all recorded their collegiate debuts.
- Bingham recorded seven assists between the two matches.
