WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Sweet Briar College volleyball team (0-3, 0-0 ODAC) competed in the final day of the Quaker Classic against the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg Bobcats (1-4, 0-0 AMCC). The Vixens fell to the Bobcats, 3-0, with set scores of 25-17, 25-14, and 25-11
Sweet Briar kept the opening set competitive early, as the teams were tied eight times and exchanged the lead three times. The Vixens produced five kills in the frame, but the Bobcats eventually created separation and closed out a 25-17 decision. First-year
Addison Garner (Elizabeth City, N.C.) led Sweet Briar's offense in the first set with key attacking production, while first-year
Kayla Rogucki (Fredericksburg, Va.) supplied two service aces during the match.
In the second set Sweet Briar recorded six kills, and continued to compete defensively despite the Bobcats' efficient attack. The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg eventually took control towards the end of the set, winning 25-14.
The Vixens found their best attacking rhythm of the afternoon in the third set, posting their highest hitting percentage of the day. However, the Bobcats remained vigilant in the final frame to complete the sweep with a 25-11 set victory.

- First-year Nadia Bingham (Chesapeake, Va.) led the team in assists and digs.
