The Sweet Briar volleyball team played host to the Avenging Angels of Meredith College today in Williams Gymnasium.

The Vixens lost in three sets to the Angels with scores of 17-25, 22-25, and 22-25.

Vixen highlights for the match include a team high of 24 assists for Alexis Rukenbrod ('12/Laurel, Md.) and senior Ashley Winters (Mechanicsville, Va.) had a team high of 15 digs on the defensive side.

The next match-up for the Sweet Briar team will be on Tuesday at 6:30pm when the Vixens host conference team Virginia Wesleyan College.
