Box Score The Sweet Briar tennis team took it to Lynchburg College and won
this conference match 8-1.
The Vixens made it a total team effort. Senior Virginia
Edahl (Charlotte, N.C.) and first-year Moriah Burke (Rockville,
Mary.) won handily at first doubles, 8-2. Senior Leslie
Polaski (Amherst, Va.) and first-year Ann Roach (North Oaks, Minn.)
also won their position 8-5. Second doubles of Ebie Baker
('11/Farmville, Va.) and Julia Green ('12/Vancouver,
Wash.) lost their court 5-8 to give Lynchburg their only team
point.
Heading into singles play with a 2-1 lead, the Vixens poured it
on with solid singles play across the board to sweep the singles
one through six. Each Vixen singles player won in straight
sets.

The Vixens are now 10-3 overall, 5-2 in Old Dominion Athletic
Conference (ODAC) play. Sweet Briar tennis will host Randolph
College on Friday at 3:00pm at SBC's Gymnasium Tennis Courts.
