TEMPE, Ariz. – The Sweet Briar College tennis team earned the distinction of being named an All-Academic Team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), the organization announced today, July 15th.
Additionally, three student-athletes, seniors
Atty Bestwick (Durham, N.C.) and
Alex Guilarte (Barquisimeto, Venezuela), and junior
Maggie Minton (Wytheville, Va.), were named Scholar Athletes.
To be eligible for the title of Scholar Athlete, one must maintain a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the 2025-26 academic year, while a team grade point average of 3.2 or above is necessary for the All-Academic Team title.
