The Sweet Briar Lacrosse team traveled to Guilford College last night to play the Quakers. The Vixens started off slow allowing Guilford to dominate the first half 11-0, but in the second half the vixens fired it on and scored 5 goals. The game ended 14-5.

Although they were able to turn it on for the second half the Vixen team fell short of their goals established before the game began.  Scoring for the vixen team was  D.J. Abernathy (Junior/Annadale, Va) and Mallory Lengel (Sophomore/ Great Mills, MD) who scored 3 goals.  It was D.J.  scoring 1:48 into the second half that got the Vixen team on the board, and rallied the team to pick it up in the second half.

The Vixens are back in action on Saturday when they play at Randolph-Macon.
