The Sweet Briar Vixen tennis squad played the Eagles of Bridgewater College today for their fourth conference match of the season.

The Vixens and Eagles battled to the very end, having the sixth singles position be the last match at a 4-4 match score.  Bridgewater led 2-1 going into the singles portion of the match.

The Vixens regrouped and took the first through third singles positions.  However, the Vixens lost at the four and five spots, which made the score tied at 4-4. Bridgewater prevailed and won in the third to take the match 5-4.

The Vixens, now 7-1 overall (3-1 ODAC), are scheduled to take on the Methodist Monarchs at Ferrum College on Saturday for a non-conference meeting at the Ferrum College courts at 9 am.
