The Vixen tennis team traveled to Hollins University for their conference match today.  The Vixens, now 7-2 overall, fell to their rivals 7-2, winning only the first two singles positions.

Hollins took all three doubles courts to put the pressure on the Sweet Briar squad 3-0 heading into singles.  While each court was a battle, the highlights for the Vixens were Ariel Taylor's ('14/Springfield, Va.) win over Karen Montoya at first singles, 6-4,6-1.  This win makes Taylor 9-0 for singles for the season.

Sophomore Moriah Burke (Rockville, Md.) also won in the second singles position for her ninth win of this season, scores were 7-5,6-4. The two lost their doubles 7-9 to the Hollins team of Montoya-Montoya, making their overal doubles records for the season now 8-1.

The Vixens are currently scheduled to play at Roanoke College tomorrow at 4 pm.
