The Sweet Briar College tennis team hosted the Avenging Angels of Meredith College today. The Vixen squad took the match 6-3.  The Vixens are now 4-0 for spring play (3-0 ODAC), with one more match before their spring break competition.

The Vixens started the match taking the doubles with a 3-0 sweep.  The team of Moriah Burke ('13/Rockville, Md.) and Ariel Taylor ('14/Springfield, Va.) dominated at 1st doubles, 8-2. Junior Krista Maldonado ('12/Ennis, Texas) and Jessica Bronner ('14/Haynesville, Va.) held their court with solid play to win 8-6.  Sophomores Sarah Manter (Brunswick, Maine) and Ansley Smith (High Point, N.C.) paired together to win decisively  with a score of 8-3.
