On Sunday afternoon the Vixen lacrosse team traveled to N.C. Wesleyan to play against the Battling Bishops, the Vixens walked away with a 10 point win. Leading the scoring effort was sophomore Sam Schwartz (Pittsburgh, PA) with 8 goals, DJ Abernathy (11'/ Annadale, VA) with 3 goals, Sarah Winstead (12'/ Apex, NC) with 2 goals, and 3 other VIxens with 1 goal a piece.

Sweet Briar took 39 shots, gathered 14 ground balls, went 4-5 on clear attempts, and 19 caused turnovers.

Sam Schwartz had 8 goals, 2 ground balls, and had 5 caused turnovers. DJ Abernathy had 3 goals, 2 assists, 1 ground ball, and 6 caused turnovers. Sarah Winstead had 2 goals, 2 assists, and 1 ground ball.

In cage for the Vixens was first year Megan Link (Great Falls, VA) who made 6 saves on 12 shots. The Vixens are back in action at Shenandoah on Wednesday, game time at 5:30pm.
