SWEET BRIAR, Va. --- Sweet Briar Softball welcomed Old Dominion Athletic Conference newcomer Shenandoah University to campus for a double header on Wednesday, March 13. 

As game time approached players and fans were treated to a mid-March snow shower.  After abbreviated pre-game formalities, play began.

In game one, the visiting Hornets put up six first inning runs en route to a 14-0 win.  Shenandoah returned to the diamond for game two and again enjoyed a big-run first inning.  SBC was not able to recover from the opening inning deficit and lost the second game 17-0.

The Vixen squad returns to action on Sunday, March 17 as they host Emory & Henry College in a 2 p.m. twin bill.
