Box Score Vixens Honor Four Seniors in Final Match
SWEET BRIAR, Va. --- In the last home contest of the spring 2013 season, Vixen Tennis topped the visiting Lynchburg College Hornets. Each of Sweet Briar's four seniors contributed a point in the 7-2 victory.
Senior Sarah Manter (Brunswick, Maine/Brunswick) and doubles partner Emma Merritt-Cuneo (Pacifica, Calif./Oceana) picked up the first win (8-3) on court No. 2. while seniors Nicole Lee (Seattle, Wash./Seattle Christian) and Lauren Morgan (Lexington, S.C.) were credited with the win on court No. 3.
On the singles side, Vixen senior Yulia Rigg (Sweet Briar, Va./Amherst) picked up her final home win with a 6-1, 6-2 result on court No. 5. Teammates Glory Bowman (Roanoke, Va./Patrick Henry), Mary Elise Dugan (Alexandria, Va./Chatham Hall), and Merritt-Cuneo also earned singles points for the Vixen side. SBC's Lee was credited with the win on court No. 6.
With the win, the Vixen Tennis team record improves to 6-11 overall and 3-8 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.
