SWEET BRIAR, Va. --- The Sweet Briar tennis team begins spring break 2014 with two matches in North Carolina.  Today the team first takes on Greensboro College followed by a date with Salem College in the afternoon.

The 11 a.m. match against Greensboro will be played at Oka T. Hester Park in Greensboro, N.C.  During the week of March 10, SBC will compete in SpringFest matches in Hilton Head Island, S.C.  The Vixens hit the courts against the Spirits at 4 p.m. on the campus of Salem.

Sweet Briar begins the break with a 2-1 record.  The team will look to improve upon early season success over the week long spring break trip.  In their last outing, Vixen Tennis chipped away at a 3-0 deficit against Virginia Wesleyan to snag a 5-4 conference decision.

Head Coach Teresa Boylan shared that the VWC win was a "total team effort" and she expects the team to use that momentem as they head into the their next stretch of matches.
