SWEET BRIAR, Va. --- Sweet Briar College hosted the Guilford College Quakers on April 5th on the Vixens' senior day. In game one, the team was unable to plate any runs and lost 11-0. SBC got the bats going in game two but were unable to overcome a strong third inning by the Quakers and were defeated 16-4.
The Vixens started three seniors in game one: Lorelai Whittaker (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch), Megan Thompson (Newport News, Va./Warwick) and Brooke Scott (Houston, Tx./Episcopal). In game two, Hollie Halford (Greenville, Ala./Greenville) drove in two runs on an RBI double to power the Vixen offense.
SBC is now 4-11 overall and 0-6 in the ODAC. The Vixens travel to Salem, Va. on Sunday, April 6th where they will face the Roanoke College Maroons.
