LYNCHBURG, Va. – ­­The Sweet Briar lacrosse team fell to Lynchburg, 21-5, in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference game at Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, Virginia Saturday afternoon. 

Sweet Briar was only able to net one goal in the first half of action, as Monica Ewansik when she scored on a free position shot with 21:41 left in the first half. The Hornets tallied 12 goals in the first half, going into the half leading 12-1. 

Lynchburg opened the second half talling three goals, before Dayze Gaulin put the ball in the net as the Vixens trailed 15-2 with 22:01 remaining. Reba Gagne tallied two goals with 12:21 and 9:32 left in the game as SBC trailed 18-4. Genny Kelley and Kim Orchowski connected as they scored the final goal of the game and the Hornets went on for the 21-5 victory. 

Sweet Briar closes out the season with a 5-12 record and 2-8 in the conference. 

The Vixens were led by Gagne as she netted two goals for the Vixens.
