SWEET BRIAR, Va – The Sweet Briar tennis team fell, 6-3, to Shenandoah in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference Wednesday afternoon at Babcock Tennis Courts in Sweet Briar, Virginia.

The Vixens fall to 4-10 overall on the season and are now 1-6 in the ODAC, while the Hornets improve to 8-3 overall and 3-3 in the conference.

The Hornets swept in all three doubles before the match had to be moved indoors to the Upchurch Fieldhouse due to rain. 

The Vixens made a strong effort comeback, sweeping the first three singles. Gina Rutledge defeated Jeannella Williams 6-4, 6-3 in number three singles. Caitlin Delmas defeated Molly Barb in one singles, 6-2, 6-0. AJ Lukanuski defeated Shannon Allin 6-4, 6-3 in two singles.

Sweet Briar returns to the courts on Saturday when they travel to Randolph-Macon College first serve is set for 3:00 in an ODAC match.
