SWEET BRIAR, Va.- The Sweet Briar College tennis team played its first home match of the season on Tuesday afternoon, hosting the Randolph-Macon College Yellow Jackets.

The Yellow Jackets, who were picked third in the ODAC women's tennis preseason poll and received a first-place vote, defeated the Vixens, 9-0.

RMC were victorious on both court one and court two of doubles by the score line, 8-2.

In singles, Megan Johnston played on court five and gave the Vixens their best showing, falling to Sarah Hinson, 6-1, 6-2.

The Vixens will return to action next Wednesday when they play at Southern Virginia University in Buena Vista. The match is set to get underway at 3 p.m.
