FERRUM, Va.- The Sweet Briar College lacrosse team traveled to Ferrum College on Sunday afternoon for their second game in as many days. The Panthers jumped on top early and never looked back on their way to 17-2 victory.

After being held scoreless in the first half, the Vixens first goal was netted by Torrey Schwartz seven minutes into the second half. Schwartz has now scored 10 goals during her senior campaign.

Senior Reba Gagne scored Sweet Briar's second goal with just four minutes left to play. That's now the 14th goal this season for Gagne, who also collected four draw controls and had a caused turnover on Sunday.

Alexa Dahlin was credited with three groundballs and a draw control in the contest. Seniors Lydia Fleck and Katie Torretti were able to corral three draw controls each. Fellow senior Charlotte Barbour also had a good afternoon, with two groundballs and a caused turnover.

Emily Williams played all 60 minutes of the contest in goal, making nine saves and collecting four ground balls.

The Vixen lacrosse team will host their annual alumnae game next Sunday, April 17, starting at noon. Their final regular season contest will be on Wednesday, April 27, when the Vixens host Virginia Wesleyan College for senior day.
