SWEET BRIAR, Va.- The Sweet Briar College softball team played their final two home games of the season on Monday afternoon when they hosted Ferrum College. The Panthers won game one, 23-2, in five innings and then took game two, 11-1, in a darkness-shortened four-inning game.
Battling wild winds, the Vixen bats struggled to get started all day. Nene Jones had the best day, going 3-for-4 across the two games with a double. Senior Tessa Crawford also crushed a double in game two.
The Vixens will conclude their 2016 campaign on Saturday, April 16, when they travel to Trinity Washington University. Sweet Briar swept a home doubleheader against the Tigers earlier in the season and will look to repeat that success.
