WINCHESTER, Va.- A 2-1 lead after doubles play wasn't enough for the Vixen tennis team, as they fell to the Shenandoah University Hornets on Friday afternoon, 7-2.

Court one saw AJ Lukanuski and Gina Rutledge get past Molly Barb and Caitlin Tilton, 8-4. This marks the sixth win that Lukanuski and Rutledge have picked up together in doubles this season. This pushes Yew and Colvin's record together this season to 8-4.

On court two, the duo of Samantha Yew and Anna Colvin fell behind 2-5 against Amy Rapp and Melodie Madison. But the sophomore Vixens showed their resiliency and fought back to win, 9-7.

The Vixens have a chance to get back to their winning ways when they travel to Guilford College on Sunday afternoon. The match is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
