SALEM, Va.- The Sweet Briar College tennis team paid its first visit to Roanoke College since 2013 with an afternoon ODAC match on Tuesday. The host Maroons picked up their third conference win of the season with a 8-1 victory.

Roanoke swept doubles to enter singes play with a 3-0 advantage. SBC's lone victory of the day came on court two, where first-year Emily Wandling took down Roanoke junior Catherine Lee, 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (11-9). 

Samantha Yew won the first set on court four, 6-4, before Madeline Herring stormed back to take the next two sets, 6-3, 1-0 (11-9).

The Vixens will return to action on Thursday when they travel to Southern Virginia for a match beginning at 4:30 p.m.
