The Sweet Briar lacrosse team fell to the Chatham Cougars on Saturday afternoon 14-3.  The Vixens came out strong in the second half, allowing only 3 goals in the second stanza.

Key Sweet Briar Players:

Elizabeth Phaup:  The Amherst product scored two goals and won one draw control on the day for Sweet Briar.

Kierstan Mullins:  Scored her first goal of the season.  Also, added two draw controls, two ground balls and two caused turnovers for the Vixens.

Theresa Carriveau:  Played lock down defense on top Cougar scorer Kendra McBroom.

Key Chatham Players:

Sydney Collins:  Scored five goals on six shots for the Cougars.

Sweet Briar is off until Thursday afternoon when they host Averett University at 4:30 p.m.
