Lukanuski picks up seventh win of season; Yellow Jackets top Vixens

SWEET BRIAR, Va. —  The doubles duo of sophomore Emily Wandling and senior AJ Lukanuski earned a tight victory at No. 1 doubles, while Lukanuski earned her seventh singles victory of the season at No. 2 singles in the Vixens' 7-2 home loss to the visiting Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets at the Gymnasium Tennis Courts on Tuesday.

Wandling (Mechanicsville, Va.) and Lukanuski (Richmond, Va.) fought through a battle at No. 1 doubles to earn an 8-6 victory over Stephanie Yeager and Kristin Dantzler. 

Sweet Briar's lone win in singles action came at the No. 2 spot when Lukanuski rebounded from a 6-0 opening set loss to win the second frame 6-1. The final set saw the Sweet Briar senior up 4-3 before Yeager retired and secured a win for Lukanuski. 

The Vixens will celebrate senior day on Friday as Hollins visits the Gymnasium Tennis Courts for a 3 p.m. first serve.
