Vixens topped on road by No. 25 Generals

LEXINGTON, Va. — The Sweet Briar tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision on Saturday afternoon, on the road against the No. 25 Washington & Lee Generals.

At No. 1 doubles, Sweet Briar (2-7, 0-2 ODAC) picked up a pair of games as juniors Emily Wandling (Mechanicsville, Va.) and Lacey Tucker (Swansboro, N.C.) dropped an 8-2 decision to Taylor Garcia and Georgia Wright.

Wandling was the lone Vixen to pick up a game in singles action, falling 6-0, 6-1 to Garcia at No. 1 singles.

In addition to a No. 25 national ranking, Washington & Lee (6-4, 5-0 ODAC) holds a No. 5 region in the Atlantic South regional ranking.

Sweet Briar returns home on Friday, March 29, for a 3 p.m. meeting with the Randolph WildCats at the Dennis Van Der Meer Tennis Center.
